August Project of the Month- Va-Du-Mar McMillan Park

Introducing Barrs Recs August Project of the Month, Va-Du-Mar McMillan Park! This playground is part of a larger multifaceted recreational facility, part of the Spartanburg County Parks and Recreation system. Va-Du-Mar McMillan also features a disc golf course, walking trail, picnic shelters, restrooms, tennis courts, pickleball courts, splash pad, and sand volleyball courts.

July Project of the Month - Downtown Park Waxhaw, NC

Downtown Park is the perfect green space in downtown Waxhaw, North Carolina. Barrs Recreations April McLaurin began working with Waxhaw in 2021 to bring the Town’s vision of a nature play playground to life. Downtown Park features not only a playground, but an interactive stream, fitness area, pump track, flex court, walking paths, local art, amphitheater, and a large promenade for town events. Talk about the place to be!
